Welcome To the Bard & Banker Scottish Pub
With 12 000 square feet of space, the capacity to seat up to 320 people and one of the biggest kitchens not attached to a hotel in Victoria we are able to cater to a few friends for lunch or an entire conference of people. With so much space we are able to open up or close off as much space as your group needs.
We can accommodate to each group’s specific needs so you can simply make a reservation for you and your friends and order off our menu or we can work with you to build a custom style of service and even create a special menu just for the occasion. From a reservation for two people to a conference of 200 the options are endless.
At the Bard & Banker we have live music Wednesday thru Saturday nights starting at 8:30pm with no cover charge so you and your friends can come and enjoy all the local talent Victoria has to offer.
With so much flexibility we truly can offer something for everyone, the Bard & Banker combines the warmth of an old world pub with the technology and convenience of today.
Each area of the room is individually controlled for sound and we can adjust this according to your groups needs, we also have a closed circuit in house TV system which displays the stage so no matter where you are sitting you can still enjoy the live entertainment.
THE MacPHEARSON ROOM 18 guests
Located on the ground floor the McPhearson room is a small, intimate room suitable for parties up to 18 people. Complete with your own private TV you’ll never have to miss any of the action.
THE KENNEDY SNUG 8 guests
Private and cozy this space seats 8 comfortably but we’ve seen a few more fit in here, just make sure that everyone knows each other really well.
THE LAUNCHIE SNUG 4 guests
This is a like a private dinning room all to yourself, this space seats 4 comfortably, with a private fireplace you’ll never want to go home.
McKINNON SNUG 4+ guests
Another private space which seats 4 comfortably but with a comfortable booth and private TV your friends might want to squeeze a few more in.
THE MANAGERS OFFICE 4-6 guests
This unique space is recessed into the wall, with a high top bench which seats 4 – 6 people you get the best of both worlds your own semi private space while still in the middle of everything, but as the manager everyone is going to come to you.
THE ROBERT SERVICE ROOM 15-30 guests
This room is named after the man who inspired our pub. This room has its own TV and private fireplace as well as some of the works of Robert Service, this space offers guests the versatility of enough seating for a dinner of 15-20 to a cocktail style reception of drinks and appys for a group just over 30.
BANKERS HALL 20-150 guests
Upstairs on the mezzanine this space can accommodate a variety of group sizes, tables of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and up to 20 for dinner as well as cocktail style mixers of up to 150 people. The only limitation here is how many friends are coming.
THE VAULT 20-30 guests
Back in the days of the bank this is where one of the two vaults was located. Back then the single men used to sleep over night in the bank with a loaded gun to guard the contents, now we don’t encourage people to sleep here but if 20 to 30 people want to have dinner that works instead.
THE SAM McGEE ROOM 40-86 guests
This space really is one of Victoria’s best secrets, with a room layout that is ever changing we have had cocktail parties of up to 86 people in here and seated 40 people for a 4 course meal. The room has a private balcony with big lounge style sofa chairs, a covered glass roof and heaters make this space a year round oasis.
